Bungie Answered
After linking my Steam account to Bungie, the in-game friends I added in Marathon disappeared
To claim the in-game items from the Twitch event, I linked my Bungie account to both Twitch and Steam. After claiming the rewards and logging back into the game, I noticed that all my in-game friends had disappeared. Please fix this issue as soon as possible. Is it possible to restore my friend list?

Hi there,
Thank you for your report.
Marathon uses your Bungie Friends list under the hood, shared across Bungie.net and games, so simply linking Steam/Twitch shouldn’t delete friends. What can happen, though, is that linking/signing in a new way puts you on a different Bungie profile than the one you originally added friends on, which makes your list look empty.
Please try this to check that you’re on the same profile your friends were on:
Sign out everywhere
Sign out on bungie.net, the Marathon Help site, and in the game.
Close your browser and fully restart Steam.
Sign back in using the original path
In a fresh private/incognito browser, go to:
https://www.bungie.net
Click Sign In and choose the same platform you were using when you first added those in‑game friends (for example, Steam, PlayStation Network, or Xbox).
Once signed in, go to Profile → Settings → Linked Accounts and make sure Steam and Twitch are linked there.
Launch Marathon again from Steam
Start the game and check your Network / Friends tab to see if the list has returned.
