Error Code: Currant

I have a dual-booted system specifically to play Marathon on windows 11. I had zero issues during server slam. Now with the full release, I cannot load into the tutorial. I get a red pop-up after about 30 seconds of loading giving me the currant error.

 

Validating files, re-installing, flushing dns, nothing has helped.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    CURRANT is a networking error that means the game client failed to connect to the dedicated server it was matched to.  


    A few things to try:

    • Restart everything
    • Fully close Marathon, then reboot your PC/console and router. A simple restart cleared CURRANT for a lot of players.  
    • Check your network path
    • If possible, use a wired connection instead of Wi‑Fi.
    • Disable any VPN or proxy and try again.
    • Check security software (especially on PC)
    • Temporarily disable or whitelist Marathon/BattlEye in any antivirus or firewall (Kaspersky and similar suites have come up in other connection issues).  

     

    If you keep hitting CURRANT after that, it helps the devs a lot if you include your platform, region, ISP, and whether you’re using a VPN or third‑party antivirus when you report it.

  • I have the same issue have’nt played server slam or full game……is there anything we can do other than wait?

  • I don't think there's anything we can do unfortunately. Just have to wait. Guess I'll play something else. Which sucks, I was very excited to play.

  • My next question is do we refund until fixed or just throw the $40 away in hopes that they fix it?😂 insane!
