Feedback regarding the Marathon Server Slam

I purchased the Deluxe Edition and absolutely loved the experience. I am sharing my thoughts to support the development team. (I had some trouble finding the official feedback channel, so I am submitting this here.)

Pros:

• Art, Graphics, Music, and Narrative: These elements are outstanding. Please continue in this direction.

• Visual Comfort: Despite the unique aesthetic, I experienced no eye strain. The game is beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing with HDR enabled.

• Gameplay Loop: It feels like a perfect blend of storytelling, PvP, and looter-shooter mechanics. As someone who isn't great at PvP but wants to enjoy it, this balance felt "just right."

• Progression: The quests are clear and easy to understand.

• Gunplay: The shooting mechanics and "feel" are excellent.

• Personal Concern: While I worry I might burn out if I don't improve at PvP, I don't know the best way to adjust it. Please ensure that the fantastic non-PvP elements aren't diminished in future balancing.

Areas for Improvement:

• Feedback Accessibility: It would be much easier to provide feedback if there were an in-game mail system (similar to Zenless Zone Zero or Arknights).

• UI/UX Clarity: Linking item icons to their specific effects is currently difficult. This learning curve might cause some players to drop off early.

• Optimization: Regardless of graphic settings, my FPS stayed below 100 during runs.

  • Specs: Ryzen 7 5700X, 16GB RAM, RTX 4070 (12GB), NVMe SSD.

• Faction Updates: Please make it easier to identify which Faction Update unlocks the ability to purchase specific desired items.

• Mod Management: When viewing a weapon's mod slot, it would be helpful if compatible mods currently in the Vault were highlighted.

• Information Flow: I don't have time to read core equipment descriptions during a run. Making this information digestible at a glance would be appreciated.

• Audio Logs: It's hard to focus on quest dialogue during the intensity of a run. An archive feature to listen to them later would be a great addition.

• Build Recommendations: I'd love to see more in-game suggestions for loadouts and upgrades. For example, Zenless Zone Zero suggests build trends based on other players' data, which significantly lowers the barrier to entry and makes the game more accessible.

• Training Area: A dedicated practice range to test weapons and builds would be very helpful.
