i was unable to pick an item despite having space in the inventory until i did something

don't remember the item type but it might have been the keybind "G"

the interaction letter was listed but there was no reaction on this interface of action

& then i did something that fixed the issue and i could interact with it

will try to find a recording of that or reproduce again
