Game crashes while starting
Game crashes on startup after update 1.1.9.5
Since the latest update 1.1.9.5, I have been unable to launch the game on Steam.
When I start the game, BattlEye launches and a black screen appears\. The game then crashes before the Sony logo is displayed.
After installing the update, I was initially able to play for about an hour. I then opened the settings menu to adjust some graphics options. After restarting the game, I was no longer able to reach the title screen.
I also used NVIDIA’s game optimization feature to automatically configure the best graphics settings for my system. This is when I first encountered the startup issue, although I am not entirely sure whether it is directly related.
Since then, I have been unable to launch the game at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I am also experiencing a similar issue. The game will initialize on steam and launch battle eye, then afterwards a black screen will appear as if the game is launching but then the window will close before the game fully launches without any error or notification.
I've tried all the standard troubleshooting methods such as
Verify game files on steam
Update windows, graphic drivers bios
Uninstall/Reinstall game
Disable steam/discord overlays

If that fails, to help us further investigate, can you clarify if you receive any error code(s) or messages when crashing? If so, which?
Hey OP if you're using an AMD card try rolling back to a previous driver. The most recent AMD driver was causing the issue for me.

I have tried all the standard troubleshooting.
Uninstal/instal
Check the game files with steam
Launch as admin
Update Windows and nvidia drivers
The game did’t show any error code or any message when it crashes.
I start it, a black screen appear and it crashes.
