Marathon - Question About Game Center Root Certificate on Windows

Hello Bungie Support,

I am investigating a potential security issue on my PC related to Marathon. During my investigation, I discovered a root certificate named "Game Center" issued by an organization in Chengdu, China, installed in the Windows Local Machine Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.

Certificate details:

  • Subject: CN=Game Center, O=Game Center, L=ChengDu, S=SiChuan, C=CN
  • Thumbprint: 155525B23BF2FCF7D11A65873A7FEC68CE8DFB81

I would like to know whether this certificate is associated with Marathon, Bungie, or any software used by the game. I have been unable to establish its origin and would appreciate your help determining whether it is legitimate.

Could you please advise me on how to verify this certificate and whether it could affect Marathon's security systems?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

  • I would like to clarify why I mentioned the "Game Center" root certificate in my report. I am experiencing an issue with my GOJI code in Marathon, and while investigating possible causes, I discovered this certificate on my PC. I do not know whether it is related to the GOJI code issue, but I wanted to mention it in case it could be relevant. Could you please help me determine whether the certificate is associated with Marathon or any official Bungie software, and advise me on how to resolve my GOJI code issue?
