  • Bungie Account Name: [Secondwind#3281], [Faceshooter1#0360], [Mylopoint#4098]
  • Platform: [Steam, Steam, Xbox]
  • Description of Issue: Killed the Compiler boss in Cryo Archive. The death animation played and the loot room doors opened, but the lootable body failed to spawn/instantly vanished, making it impossible to retrieve the Ganglion. Location: When facing the Elevator, Compiler is near Center of Platform, Upper Left Center Pillar.
  • Rough Date and Time of Issue: [09/25/2026- Between 2:00PM EST to 2:50PM EST]
  • Repro Steps:
    1. Queue into Cryo Archive.
    2. Gather batteries/subroutines and trigger the Compiler encounter.
    3. Reduce boss health to zero while it is positioned near the edge of the center platform.
    4. Observe that the loot room opens but no interactable boss corpse remains.
  • Sending this report on behalf of my random team mate, He is concerned he will not get the codex challenge completion for the Sentinel Shell, since he was not able to loot the Compiler. [Faceshooter1#0360]

    Hi!

Thanks for reporting this. I'm sorry to hear you and your teammates didn't get to earn your rewards after defeating the Compiler. I have already asked one of your teammates in their separate thread, but by any chance, was anyone on your team able to capture a video recording of the incident? If you have any clip or footage of this happening, it can help us take a closer look. Please upload your video to a public hosting platform like YouTube or Imgur and share a link here, and we will gladly review.

    Thanks!

    Hi Bungie Support!

Unfortunately, my recording software was not working and I was not streaming that day. The best I have is a screenshot of the after run report, but that doesn't really help. Simply, after killing the compiler, his lootable body, or ganglion did not appear. In place of it, looks like stars/sparkles. After awhile the sparkles/stars will disappear, but if you go into the loot room and come back out to the compiler room, the stars/sparkles reappear.
