Voice Chat not working/Mic Indicator doesn’t show up, despite having all microphone permissions enabled on both Marathon and Xbox.
Mic was working just fine yesterday and throughout Season 1 & 2, but now just this morning it just isn’t working. I haven’t changed any settings and my microphone works just fine everywhere else (Xbox party chat, Discord, other games, etc.). I have all permissions enabled on Xbox and Marathon that allow me to use voice chat. I’ve tried turning voice chat on and off, adjusting my keybinds, restarting my console, restarting my controller, and nothing seems to work. I use a standard headset that I plug into my controller. Thank you for your report.
We understand voice chat isn't working for you with a headset it previously functioned with. This does seem odd to us, given what you describe. If you happen to have another headset, are you able to verify whether you experience the same problem with it?
In addition to the above question, please let us know the model of headset you use. We'll then review and see what we can hopefully recommend.
I don’t have another headset, but I tried to use some Apple earbuds with the microphone on them (not sure if that counts). I checked the settings and it still wasn’t working. I use a Turtle Beach Recon 70P wired headset.
Okay it seems to be working now. Don’t know what I did besides going to another game then going back to Marathon. Thanks for the help anyways
