Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you were spawned into the wrong matchmaking type. We've received reports of this issue and are investigating the underlying issue further. For the time being, we recommend when switching matchmaking configurations (e.g. trios to solo) to do so slowly, and when possible, toggle the crew fill on and off.
