Goji Error

Hello Marathon Support,

I am contacting you about Marathon error code GOJI.

When I try to load into tutorial or matchmaking, the game sometimes reaches the loading screen or even enters the match for 1–2 seconds, then disconnects with error code GOJI. The main recurring issue is GOJI.

My system:
Windows 11, build 26200.8524
Steam version of Marathon
BattlEye is installed and starts successfully
BEService and BEDaisy appear to load correctly

Things I have already tried:

  • Verified Marathon game files in Steam
  • Reinstalled Marathon
  • Reinstalled BattlEye
  • Cleared Marathon AppData/cache/config files
  • Reset Winsock and TCP/IP network stack
  • Flushed DNS
  • Tested different DNS settings
  • Disabled/removed Cloudflare WARP/VPN
  • Checked Windows Event Viewer
  • Checked Windows Code Integrity logs
  • Checked running processes, services, scheduled tasks, WMI persistence, Winsock catalog, and network adapters
  • Ran Malwarebytes deep scan and quarantined all detected riskware/PUP items
  • Emptied Recycle Bin
  • Rebooted multiple times
  • Tried a clean Windows user profile

Windows logs do not show a Marathon crash or BattlEye crash. Code Integrity logs do not show blocked or unsigned drivers. WMI persistence checks are clean. I also do not see any active suspicious injector/loader processes or services.

Could you please tell me what else I can check, or which logs/files I should provide to help identify what GOJI is detecting? I understand that you may not be able to disclose anti-cheat detection details, but I would appreciate any guidance on whether this is related to my PC environment, my account, networking/region, or a known issue with the current Marathon test.

Thank you.

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're getting Goji errors when trying to launch Marathon.

An error code GOJI means that Marathon has detected an issue with your computer that may be in violation of Bungie's Terms of Use. You will need to identify and fix the issue on your computer to resolve this error.

Please review our Terms of Use for more information.

Thank you for the reply, but this does not help me identify the issue.

I understand that GOJI means Marathon detected a problem on my PC, but I need guidance on what I can actually check. I have already removed/quarantined all detected riskware/PUP items, reset the network stack, reinstalled Marathon and BattlEye, checked Windows logs, Code Integrity logs, WMI persistence, services, drivers, scheduled tasks, Winsock catalog, and running processes.

At this point I do not see any active suspicious injector, loader, service, driver, or WMI persistence on my system. BattlEye appears to start correctly, and Windows does not show a Marathon or BattlEye crash.

Could you please answer one of the following:

    1. Are there any specific Marathon/BattlEye logs I can provide for GOJI investigation?

    2. Is GOJI always caused by a local PC detection, or can it also be caused by server-side/account/network/region issues?

    3. If you cannot disclose the exact detection, can you at least confirm whether the issue is related to my PC environment or my account?

    4. Is there any known issue with false GOJI errors in the current Marathon test?

I am not asking for anti-cheat bypass details. I only want to know what logs or steps I can provide to resolve the issue legitimately.

    Thank you.
