Frame Generation fails to re-engage after the first match (Requires manual toggle)
Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | Radeon RX 7900 XT | 32GB RAM 3600MHz CL18
Settings: In-game Intel Frame Generation ON (Not using AMD driver AFMF)
The Issue: In the new season, the Frame Generation stops working after completing a match and transitioning into the next one. It seems the engine fails to "wake up" or re-hook the frame generation swapchain after a lobby/loading screen transition.
Steps to Reproduce / Behavior:
-
Boot the game and join the first match. Frame Gen works flawlessly (my FPS goes from a native 80-110 up to 180-220 FPS).
-
Finish the match, return to the lobby/loading screens.
-
Load into the second match. The FPS is back down to 80-110 FPS. The setting still says "ON" in the menu, but it is clearly not working.
-
The Workaround: If I go into the Video Settings, toggle Frame Gen OFF, and immediately toggle it back ON, the FPS instantly shoots back up to 200+ and stays stable for the rest of that match.
Notes: I initially thought this was a shader cache issue, but clearing the cache only forces a fresh start for the first match. The actual trigger for the bug is the transition between the lobby and the map. Manually toggling the setting off/on is the only way to get Frame Gen working again for subsequent matches.
Hope this helps the team track it down!

Same thing is happening to me
Hardware: Intel Core i5-13600KF | NVIDIA RTX 4060 | 32GB RAM DDR5 6600MT/s C36
Settings: In-game Intel Frame Generation ON
The Issue: Same as above, except instead of going back to 80-110 FPS, the game stutters and frames flick between 120-129 FPS, and it gets to around 70 FPS when opening any HUD (containers or ESC). So it seems like it's still working but very poorly to the point it's unecessary.
Steps to Reproduce / Behavior: Same as above
Notes: Same thing happens when you alt tab or go to a second screen, same thing also happens either on fullscreen or windowed.
