Successful Exfil but Eliminated

Description of Issue -

My squad and I successfully completed the Night Marsh boss encounter and extracted with valuable loot. Just before extraction, we defeated another fully geared squad and reached the extraction zone with approximately 20 seconds remaining in the match.

Although we entered the extraction zone, initiated extraction, and remained alive, the game incorrectly marked our team as eliminated and removed all loot and rewards from the run.

After reviewing my gameplay recording, the cause of the issue appears to be visible. When we entered the extraction zone, the extraction countdown reset to 10 seconds even though the match's global timer had less time remaining than the extraction countdown. As a result, the game seems to have treated our extraction as unsuccessful despite us being inside the extraction zone and having already initiated extraction.

This resulted in the loss of all loot earned during the run.

Rough Date and Time of Issue - Approximately 00:00 Central Mexico Time (UTC-6) on June 6, 2026.

Repro Steps -

1. Complete the Night Marsh boss encounter.
2. Reach an extraction point with very little time remaining on the match timer (approximately 20 seconds remaining in our case).
3. Enter the extraction zone and initiate extraction.
4. Observe that the extraction timer resets to 10 seconds even when the global match timer has less time remaining.
5. Match ends before the extraction timer completes.
6. Players are incorrectly marked as eliminated despite having initiated extraction and remaining inside the extraction zone.

Additional Information -

I respectfully request that Bungie investigate this issue and consider restoring or compensating the loot that was lost due to what appears to be a game bug.
