Frame Generation keeps turning itself off

So whenever I load into a match frame gen stops working and I have to go into the menu, disable it, and turn it back on. After that it'll work without issues untill I load into the next match. Sometimes it stops working when I alt-tab as well. This has also been happening to my brother who I play with.
Reproduction:
Load into a match with Intel XeSS frame gen enabled, if no frame gen is occuring, go into menus, disable it, and then re enable it.
