[FIXED] I've been experiencing audio issues since the start of Season 2, rendering the game unplayable.

Despite my FPS being stable, despite using a wired headset and trying on different headsets, the issue persists.
Platform: Steam

I'll go ahead and describe the issue, audio sounds just as if I was using bluetooth handsfree (I am NOT). The audio sounds muddy, watery, muffled and/or muted.

A situation where the audio seems to fail is, per example, if my team is fighting an enemy runner trio, I don't seem to ever notice as both the footsteps andd the shooting sounds muted, muffled or not at all. 
If I am fighting a squad I am depending entirely of visual cues.
This issue only happens in this game. I've tried resetting my laptop to factory settings, reinstalling the game, cleaning the shader cache and trying out different audio presets in game. I am NOT using thirdd party software for audio enhancement like Nahimic.

Any ideas?

Go into your control panel, then go to sound > communication > set it to do nothing
