ERROR CODE PAPRIKA + ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: W:8:00002EF1
I am unable to get past the title screen for the game. I click to advance and I get error code paprika with additional information W:8:00002EF1
I have closed out of every other tab on my pc and tried again, closed the game and tried again, closed steam fully and reopened and tried again, shut my pc down and tried again, and reset my wifi router and tried again.
Not sure what else to do or how else to get into the game, the error code forum said to make a post here for help

Thanks for the report.
We’ve seen other reports of the exact Paprika / W:8:00002EF1 combo on Steam, so you’re not the only one hitting it.
Since you’ve already tried the usual restart/network steps, the next things I’d recommend are:
Verify Marathon’s game files in Steam.
Fully exit Steam and then relaunch Steam as Administrator before starting Marathon again.
Check Windows Defender Firewall. We’ve seen at least one case where the player got past this by temporarily disabling Defender Firewall, launching the game, then removing/re-adding Marathon as an allowed app and turning Defender back on afterward.
If it still doesn’t let you past the title screen after that, please reply back with:
your Bungie Name
whether you’re using any VPN, antivirus, or firewall software besides Windows Defender
That’ll help narrow down what’s blocking the connection.
I have verified the files, fully exited steam and ran it in admin mode, ensured defender firewall isnt messing with it, and sometimes i have been able to get in but other times i cannot. I am not using a VPN, and nothing beyond windows defender. My bungie name Jadex.
I have also noticed for the past few weeks sometimes during my queue with my friends we get popped out of the queue, and I have the error code basil while they get ginger. Unsure if this is related.
