Constant freezing on PC since 4/28
Details:
- Bungie Account Name - Wonder#1365
- Platform - Steam
- OS - Windows 10
- Hardware - [CPU] AMD Ryzen 7 7700X [GPU] NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090Ti
- Description of Issue - Game freezes my computer for a good 5 - 10secs every few minutes. I'm able to hear audio, but everything (outside of game as well) freezes.
- Rough Date and Time of issue - This has been occurring ever since the patch on 4/28/2026.
- Repro steps - I don't have any specific steps to reproduce since I just boot up, sign in, and experience the freezes while I'm in the home screen.
Things I have already tried as of 5/5/2026:
- Uninstall, clear Steam download cache, reinstall
- Verify game files in Steam
- Reinstall latest graphics drivers
- Turn off Xbox game bar
- Turn off VPN
- Turn off Discord overlay
- Windowed vs Fullscreen

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you've been having stability issues in-game since the previous patch. On top of the steps you've already performed, can you ensure that both Windows and your BIOS are both up to date if you haven't already? If the issue persists can you try rolling back to the previous GPU driver to see if the issue persists? Please also try closing all non-essential software running in the background, to see if the issue persists.
If all this fails, to help us investigate further, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the viewing link.
