Audio issue

I can’t hear my teammates, I can see that they are speaking however I can’t hear them. They can hear me just fine though. It was working fine earlier today, communication is a key part of the game so this bug makes it unplayable.

    Hello there,
    Thank you for reaching out.

This lines up with a known voice chat issue we’ve been tracking where others can hear you, but you can’t hear them, even though the UI shows them talking.

A few things to try right away:

    Double-check in-game audio settings

Settings → Audio / Voice Chat:
Make sure Voice Chat is enabled.
Confirm the Output Device is set to the headset/speakers you’re actually using (not a controller mic, monitor speakers, or a disabled device).
Raise Voice Chat Volume and Crew/Proximity volumes above 0.
    Check platform audio

On console: verify the game audio/voice mix isn’t muted or routed to a different device (for PS5/Xbox, check the console’s voice/chat output device and chat/game balance).
On PC: in your OS sound settings, confirm:
Default output device is the same one selected in-game.
If you’re using a headset with multiple channels (game vs chat), try switching to that or toggling off any virtual devices.
    Quick reset

Fully close Marathon and your platform, reboot once, and retest with a fresh lobby.
