Servers not working and bad performance

After nearly two months since Marathon's release, some things are still wrong. First, the servers. It's a well-known problem that the Latin American and Australian servers are NOT WORKING. It's not normal to see the high ping symbol in every match and have to play with over 100 ping, with people who don't speak my language, with input lag, with lower frame rates, and with every fight already at a disadvantage. The second biggest problem is performance. On the server slam, the game ran incredibly well. After the game's release, performance deteriorated substantially. The FPS drops depending on the map difficulty. Perimeter runs the best, but it's not normal that with an i5-12600kf and a 3080ti, the game runs at 60 FPS on Cryo and Outpost. The only decent one is Perimeter, which barely reaches 100 FPS. Please Bungie, we know you're aware of these problems, but we need you to fix them faster to maintain player retention.

  • Servers have gotten to a point where the game is practically unplayable, it'll freeze up the second I start a gun fight and normally unsticks the second I get down. This really has only gotten worse since the last update whereas before I just had some latency and mild rubber-banding. A quick Cloudflare Speed test puts my internet at: 683Mbps download, 27Ms latency, 11Ms Jitter, 0% Packet loss and 98Mbps upload. Nothing I've done has seemed to improve my connection to the game. I also have the same issue when it comes to FPS I use a i9 14900k, 5080 16gb and 96gb RAM and I STRUGGLE to get to 120 fps on Cryo/Outpost. I've spent countless hours testing different settings to try and slightly improve it but nothing. My CPU and GPU utilization both sit at around 34% - 38% when playing Cryo/Outpost, so I know they got more to give but I'm stuck reaching for anything more than 120FPS. I've seen a few forums state that Marathon only uses a few CPU cores to process the game to avoid latency, this was to explain the low CPU utilization when playing. However at this point I've seen so many contradicting arguments that I don't think anyone knows what's going on, which is a shame because I really enjoy this game but cant play it in the state its in. I believe Season 2 will be the make or break for Marathon.
