Thief's Pickpocket Drone randomly self-destructing

Bungie ID: Dharak Colossus#1281
Plat: Xbox SX
Desc. of issue: Thief's pickpocket drone tends to fall out of the sky by itself. I lose control of the drone and it loses altitude before I get kicked off the controls and it goes on cooldown (I also usually don't hear the drone explode when it hits the ground). The drone isn't running out of battery, moving too far or being shot out of the air.
Rough Date and Time: Unsure but it first happened to me at ~1AM last night (01:00 22/04) and thrice today (2pm onwards, 22/04)
Repro steps: I'm unsure but I think it has something to do with the geometry that the drone is above?

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your report.

We understand you've experienced some odd behavior from Thief's Pickpocket Drone. Having viewed the linked video, we can imagine the impact such an issue may have had. For our investigation, if feasible, could you kindly provide us with more concrete reproduction steps? For example, do you notice that this tends to happen if you ascend to a certain altitude, or have noticed what types of geometry being beneath the drone appears to trigger this?

Please let us know what you've observed in more detail, and we'll review. Thank you.

  • Thankfully I was able to successfully exfil with my gear and loot earned from the key room, so no worries there.
I really am not sure what the reproduction steps are, what I said was just speculation. I would test more myself but my vault is so full that I can't do a free kit run at all (what's currently in my inventory won't fit in the vault).

I don't think a specific altitude is the cause, but I remember from the 4 times it happened to me, it occured when the drone was flying over a sharp decrease in the elevation of the geometry below (e.g: when flying off from above an elevated road to above a ditch)
