Voice Chat not mirroring to HDMI when using Controller Mic on console
Bungie Account Name: Spizzo#3646
Platform: Xbox Series X
Description of Issue: Voice chat audio is not being mirrored to the HDMI output when a microphone is plugged into the controller jack. While playing Marathon, I can see the voice icons moving (showing that teammates are talking), but I cannot hear them through my HDMI setup (HDMI Splitter + Sound BlasterX G6 DAC). The voice chat audio immediately returns to the HDMI output if I unplug the microphone from the controller. This issue is specific to Marathon and does not happen in other titles. Note: The controller is always connected via USB cable.
Rough Date and Time of issue: April 3, 2026 (Ongoing since I started playing).
Repro steps:
1. Use an Xbox Series X connected to an HDMI Splitter/DAC for audio.
2. Ensure the controller is wired via USB.
3. Launch Marathon and join a squad.
4. Plug a 3.5mm headset/mic into the controller jack.
5. Notice that teammate voice audio disappears from the HDMI source.
6. Unplug the mic and notice the audio immediately returns to the HDMI source.
