Mouse lag

This is my third time trying to play this game because it looks fun. I first tried during the server slam before launch but my mouse was lagging across the screen and not registering clicks, I thought this was a bug with the beta test so I left the game. I came back on launch and tried to play again but the same thing was happening. I tried the fixes everyone recommended but nothing worked, because I had not played much I was able to get a steam refund. I am now trying to play the game again but am unable to do to my clicks not registering. I have got a new mouse in between the time from the launch and now. Everything works fine aside from the mouse (audio works, keyboard works, ext.) I have tried closing everything on my computer aside from steam and Marathon. This is a issue I only have with this game, for every other game I play my mouse works fine.

I was hoping someone had a fix for this so I could play and enjoy the game. Thanks

    Hello there,
    Thank you for reaching out.

What you’re running into lines up with a known Marathon PC mouse issue that only shows up in certain setups. It’s usually caused by overlays / capture tools or very high mouse polling rates, not by the mouse hardware itself. We are aware of these issues and are currently investigating.

Try these in this order (all on PC):

    1. Kill overlays and capture tools completely
Even if you’re “not streaming,” these can still hook the game:

    Discord

In Settings → Game Overlay: turn the overlay off.
If you have “Always-on game clipping” (beta feature), turn it off too.
For testing, fully quit Discord from the system tray, then start Marathon again. This has been a direct cause for mouse lag/missing cursor in our internal tests.
    Steam overlay

Steam → Settings → In-Game → untick “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.
    NVIDIA / other overlays

GeForce Experience: disable In-Game Overlay (and Instant Replay / ShadowPlay).
Close OBS, Medal.tv, MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner, Overwolf, screen-capture/measurement tools, etc.
Then restart Marathon and check if the cursor & clicks behave normally.

    2. Lower your mouse polling rate
We’ve seen Marathon behave badly with very high report rates (e.g., 1000 Hz).

In your mouse software (Logitech G Hub, Razer Synapse, etc.), set Polling / Report Rate to 500 Hz or 250 Hz instead of 1000 Hz.
    Apply, then restart the game.
    3. Basic device checks
Unplug any second mouse, drawing tablet, or unusual input devices.
If you’ve rebound mouse buttons using third-party tools (AutoHotkey, vendor macro software), try disabling those temporarily.

  • I have disabled every overlay that is on my computer and lowered the polling rate of my mouse to 500Hz. There is also no other device plugged into my pc. The game still doesn't register my mouse clicks and when I tried to play through the tutorial my camera was moving all over the place even when my mouse was fully disconnected from my pc. The camera kept speeding up and slowing down while changing directions. I don't know what could be causing this but if you have any other recommendation as to what I could try I would appreciate that.

    Thanks.
