Marathon's Servers Unavailable
Error message that Marathon's servers are unavailable pops up whenever I attempt to login despite the fact that server maintenance is over. I've restarted my pc and updated the game, the issue remains.

Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out.
“Marathon servers are unavailable” after maintenance usually means your PC can’t talk to the sign-on service, not that maintenance is still ongoing. On PC we’ve seen this when either backend is briefly unhappy or something on the player’s machine/network is blocking the sign-on URL (firewall, AV, VPN, etc.).
Confirm it’s not on Bungie’s side
Check Marathon Help and @MarathonTheGame / @BungieHelp for any live outage/maintenance callouts.
If they show ongoing issues, there’s nothing to fix locally; you’ll have to wait.
Rule out a local/network block
Make sure no VPN, proxy, or “gaming accelerator” is enabled.
Temporarily disable or uninstall third-party antivirus/firewall (Bitdefender, Kaspersky, etc.) and try launching again. If it works, add exceptions for:
Marathon.exe (or its launcher)
BattlEye service / folder
In Windows Defender Firewall, ensure both have Allow on Private and Public.
Try a different network
Connect your PC to a mobile hotspot or a different Wi-Fi/router and launch Marathon.
If it works there, your usual network (router, ISP, or network-level security/filter) is blocking the sign-on URL.
