Marathon permission.

Me and my son have played destiny 2 for years no issues. We both got marathon and now we need to link his account which we did , I was verified as the adult . Can’t access his settings, literally been doing the loop over and over . Pay good money for these games and they should allow him to play it properly. He can’t even join his friend from ps5 . Please fix this issue.

    Hello there,
    Thank you for your report.

On Sony platforms (PS4/PS5), a child PSN account can be completely blocked from T-rated games like Destiny 2 and Marathon based on the birthdate/age rating settings, regardless of what you did on bungie.net.
Bungie’s own parental-consent / permissions flow cannot override platform child gating in these cases.

To fix platform family/age settings (must be done as the parent)
On PS5 (if your son is on PlayStation):

Log in as the Family Manager / adult.
Go to Settings → Family and Parental Controls → Family Management → [Your son’s account].
    Check:
Allowed games age level: must allow T-rated games.
Communication and User-Generated Content: set to Allow so he can join friends and use voice/text.
Also check Settings → Users and Accounts → Privacy → View and Customize → Communication and Multiplayer and make sure chat and multiplayer aren’t blocked.
Fully restart the console, then launch Marathon again and try joining friends.

  • I’m experiencing the same issue with my son’s account. Tried (a few times) the steps above as well as the bungie account settings and he is still unable to invite or accept invites from others.

He is using the ps5 I have console sharing Enabled so he has access to the game in general.

Any suggestions @Bungie Support? As the original post stated, I have also been through all the suggested steps online and in the forums
