Purple Salvage doesnt stack properly in the vault

I went above the stack limit for Ballistic Turbines, so i had two separate stacks in my vault. After purchasing an upgrade which required Ballistic Turbine, I ended up with less than 25 Turbines. However, instead of one stack, I now have two stacks, one with 16 and one with 6 Turbines (see attached image).
After restarting the game, I still have two stacks, and I cant drag and drop them around either, essentially wasting 4 of my vault slots.
