Weapon scopes clip into nearby surfaces, distrupts the scope's texture.

  • Bungie Account Name - Cmdr. Shepard#2465
  • Platform - Steam
  • Description of Issue - Small scope attachments clips into nearby textures. Scope's texture partially disappears when the mesh collision occurs. (It is most likely that the player's weapon can be seen outside of the door by the enemy players, when this issue occurs near doors. I have had that experience.)
  • Rough Date and Time of issue - March 11th, 12th. It occurred after Patch 1.0.5.1 too but have no recording of it.
  • Reproduction steps
  1. Load into any map, with a weapon with a small scope.
  2. Get close to any one of the these; a structure, tree, a building, a window's glass.
  3. Equip the weapon mentioned in step 1.
  4. Get the weapon close to the texture and move slowly. Scope and other mesh will collide. Texture of other mesh will override the scope's texture.

    Hello there,
Thank you for your report and additional information.

We are aware of issues with weapon scopes becoming transparent / partially disappearing when the player is very close to a solid surface, effectively clipping into nearby geometry and causing parts of the scope texture to vanish.  We are currently investigating this issue.
