Game crash mid run PC

Hello, I play through Steam and have been experiencing frequent crashes around 3 minutes into a run. I have around 30 hours in-game, and I haven't experienced this issue previously (I first noticed it after I booted up the game for the first time since the most recent update). The game runs smoothly until it suddenly freezes for a couple of seconds before the game crashes. I have been able to replicate this issue 3 times. I have not noticed this issue while I am in the main menu/vault. My PC specs are:

Intel Ultra 7 CPU

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU

32 GB  DDR5 RAM

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand you have recently begun to experience crashing in Marathon. We're sorry to hear of this, as we can imagine the impact that this may have had. Sometimes, crashing issues can be alleviated by Clearing the Download Cache or Reinstalling Marathon.

Hopefully, the above suggestions help. If, however, this crashing persists, then please let us know if you happen to see any error messages or codes when it happens, and we'll review.

  • Hi @Bungie,
There's an issue where the game is causing Broccoli error codes with consistent crashes occurring consecutively. Uninstalling then reinstalling the game actually eliminates any error codes from popping up for me allowing several hours of play uninterrupted! However soon as I close the app, next reboot of game or PC system & the issues returns with Broccoli spammed & even crashing during SIE/Bungie boot sequence. I'm currently on my 6th reinstall as I've been dealing with troubleshooting the last 2.5 weeks & after much testing these are my findings & hoping to finally play some Cryo Archive

To replicate crash free: I used Revo Uninstaller to remove any remnants of the app left behind & have noticed that Marathon shows as a 941gb file at times/can be explained as a result of showing the install of all Steam apps together but note* some games in my library do show an alternate file size separately that resembles the actual game (ex: Batman Origins/27.06GB, Hades/11.08GB, Marvel Rivals/99.92GB, etc). Now every user is different so these numbers are my own, but it's an anomaly as my Steam total library is closer to 874.49 GB on the corresponding drive. So something's up/corrupting 66.6 GB on my drive or unaccounted for; my concern is this will wear & tear my M.2 faster as a fix & worse is likely impacting many PC players. Hope it's an easier fix than it sounds.

PS. My drives are tested/healthy & all my drivers are updated. Constant DDU/Reinstalls of GPU Drivers. But it's just Marathon. I've also posted my xdiag/pastebin & pc specs on other forums on here(bungie.net) for similar issues. Best of luck, great game!
