Game freezes on load when headset is plugged into sound card

My game freezes on first loading screen (after a few seconds of the game launching) specifically when my headset is plugged into my sound card.

It works fine if my headset is plugged into the regular output port of my pc and when my speakers are plugged into the sound card.

• Headphones: Massdrop x Koss ksc75x
