W:8:00002EE2 - XBOX Error code when trying to login - March 22, 2026
DAY #3:
In an effort to keep this problem at the top of the support page, I'm posting again and will be posting every day until this problem is resolved because I know others are likely having this problem with their Xbox connection. I've been playing since launch with no problems, but as of March 20th, I received this error code when I tried to log in.
W:8:00002EE2
I've tried everything that has been suggested in the basic and advanced guides for network troubleshooting, and nothing works. This has led me to believe this is a server-side issue, especially since the error indicates "marathon servers are not available".

Thanks for reporting this. We have identified a rise in crash reports and similar errors since the update and are currently looking into the underlying cause of this. In the meantime, reinstalling the game may help to reduce or resolve these errors you experience. Thank you for your patience and support while we work on this!
As expected, this was not something that needed my addressing with my router, my game, my Internet connection. This was 100% a server side issue that I tried fixing over three days despite being convinced that it was on Marathon's side. I wish Bungie would take a little more responsibility/accountability in this frustration and compensate us accordingly with in-game booty.
As of today.. I can miraculously sign in with no problems. How funny that the problem just resolved itself out of thin air.
