Game launches and closes itself right after BattlEye shows "Game launching"(STEAM)

I am unable to launch the game through Steam. BattlEye appears briefly (“Launching game”) and then stops. When trying to run the game with Marathon.exe as adminisrator, I receive a Windows error stating that access to the file is denied.

Troubleshooting Steps I Have Already Tried

  • Verified game files through Steam

  • Reinstalled BattlEye (using Install_BattlEye.bat)

  • Ran both Steam and the game executable as Administrator

  • Restarted my PC multiple times

  • Updated AMD GPU drivers (RX 580)

  • Reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (x64 and x86)

  • Checked and modified file/folder permissions (granted full control)

  • Changed file ownership to my user account

  • Checked for blocked files and used “Unblock” in Properties

  • Disabled antivirus / checked Windows Defender protection history

  • Added exclusions for the game folder in antivirus

  • Checked Controlled Folder Access settings

  • Repaired Steam library folder

  • Reinstalled the game completely (including deleting leftover files)

  • Closed all background applications that may interfere (e.g., overlays, monitoring tools)

  • Ran system repair commands (sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth)

    I am having so much trouble with the BattleEye: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "C:\Program Files\HP\HP ProtectTools Security Manager\Bin\DpOFeedb.dll". My mouse is either, very laggy OR doesn't show the cursor at all. This scroll doesnt work at all and the click is no always responsive. I shouldn't have to unistall HP ProtectTools to just play a game. We shouldnt have to be doing all this extra work just to play a freakin game
