Frequent Crash Right Before Run Start, No Error Code
- Bungie Account Name - NuVariant#3854
- Platform - Steam
- Description of Issue - Marathon very frequently has a crash-to-desktop (CTD) at the beginning of the round, when a black screen appears for a second after the moth and shell's face plays for a while. It also crashes occasionally when opening the zone map UI. This is the only piece of software on my computer that does this. Rarely, when trying to rejoin after the CTD happens I get a message like "There was a problem with reconnecting and we are unable to reconnect you, please search for error code: Grapefruit," and others, which provide no actual detail on the error, other than it is an error and it was reported. Usually there is no error code, and just a CTD.
- Rough Date and Time of issue - Approximately 2:00AM PDT 2026-03-18 (and several other times, every day since I began playing the game.)
- Repro steps - Simply start a round - ready up, press run and wait for the game to begin loading. I have already followed the networking troubleshooting guide, verified game files integrity, cleared caches, reset network and drivers, performed a fresh install of the OS, Steam, and Marathon, etc.
- System - Windows 11 Pro, Ryzen 5800X3D, Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32 GB DDR4 RAM at 2933Mhz CL16, installation on SSD Samsung 970 Evo Plus 512GB.

Another crash today at ~8:15PM PDT.
~1:15AM PDT 2026-03-19 Server communication error this time, said my network configuration was the issue, but nothing about my network configuration changed. No error code. By the time I got back in, I was dead and lost my loot. Lame.
