Are my Specs Having something to due with the Crashing ?

Current Specs,

I9 Ultra 285K

RTX5080 32G Vram

Game was running fine until I installed the new Nvidia update. I have done a fresh install, Verified and Even rolled back my Nvidia Drivers to 5.9.1 I can actually load into the game now. I disabled Full Screen Opt and also ran both launcher and game exe as Admin. I can now stay in the menu longer then actually play the game. I feel the issue has something to do with windows defender I also turned that off and it allowed me to play the game for about 2 minutes, Freezes and then crashes with no error code.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear you're dealing with this frustrating situation.

We can confirm the team has received reports of crashes of this nature and is looking into the situation. That said, you could try the following potential solutions in the meantime, which some players have reported success with:

    • If you recently installed any new driver update, please try reinstalling the update in question. Alternatively, you can try going back to a previous driver version if you are comfortable doing so.
    • You can go to Settings -> System -> Recovery -> Fix problems using Windows Update to see if that helps.
    • Ensuring that both BattlEye and Marathon are whitelisted by your antivirus software could also have an effect, though it seems you've already looked into similar settings.
  • The ultra cores seems to be the common factor. A lot of tickets similar to yours has ultra cores (mine too lol). I hope it gets fixed soon

  • Hello again everyone,

The fix I came up with yesterday was:
Updating your BIOS (dont do any tuning apart xmp/expo) and Intel Management Engine.
    After that I suggest also:
Go to the location where your game is installed, for me its C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marathon\battleye
Right click on Uninstall_BattlEye -> Run as Administrator -> uninstall it
    Then
Right click on Install_BattlEye -> Run as Administrator -> install it

You can also just delete the insides of this folder and game/steam will redownload it back.

If that doesnt work then I am out of ideas and this probably needs official fix.
