Marathon crashes my PC like 80% of the time I try to launch

Been having an issue where most of the time that I try to launch Marathon, I get a BSOD that says "page fault in non-paged area" caused by something relating to Battleye "BEDaisy.sys" and my entire pc has to restart. I read other people having similar issues and tried some of the suggested fixes, namely uninstalling and reinstalling Battleye, to varying effectiveness, but ultimately its still basically a coinflip if it will launch, or crash my pc. If there's any advice on a way to fix this issue it would be greatly appreciated. I know it's not a performance issue because the game does not crash or lag at all mid session, it is only having issues on start up. Would love to get this fixed because I am having a ton of fun when I can get the game to work. If you need more information please let me know, here are my PC specs in case that helps:

OS: Windows 11 Home V 10.0.26200

CPU: Intel i9-14900KF

GPU: GeForce RTX 5080

32 GB RAM

DirectX 12

Drivers: GeForce Game Ready Driver V 595.79

    Hey there,

    Thank you for reporting.

We already received the report of your crash automatically in-game. We would still recommand following this guide for some troubleshooting guide if you keep crashing: https://help.marathonthegame.com/hc/en-us/articles/39001262917908-Installing-Reinstalling-and-Updat…

  • i am having the same issues since a day or two.

just started marathon and pc "stopped". wasn't your classical blue screen but rather some text on top of everything saying that things went wrong and pc needs to restart.

the minidump then shows this message:

    SYSTEM_SCAN_AT_RAISED_IRQL_CAUGHT_IMPROPER_DRIVER_UNLOAD (d4)

    happened twice in a row.

  • I was getting a different error message, but my game now works perfectly fine and here's what I did to fix it:

    1: Uninstall Marathon

    2: Clear Steam Download cache

    3: Reinstall Marathon

lmk if that works for you!
