Never ending matchmaking screen, had to close game, lost entire loadout

I booted up a solo match for Perimeter doing a Traxus contract and couldn't get out of the matchmaking queue. I just kept seeing the caterpillar loading screen and eventually closed the game to try and log back in. When I logged back into the game, it gave me the option to go back into matchmaking or go back to lobby (which meant I would lose all my gear). I chose to go back to the matchmaking queue but the screen would go dark and after 20 seconds would give me the same pop up to either continue with matchmaking or go back to the lobby. Eventually, I chose the option to go back to the lobby because it kept sending me to the same pop-up. When I was put back in the main menu, my loadout was gone. Would you guys be able to help find my lost loot, tis precious to me. It's all good if it's not possible but I had put some of my best loot in there.
