VOICE CHAT RESTRICTIONS ISSUE: Account Settings?

Hey, hope you all doing fine.

I’m having the same problem as a lot of people with voice chat and text chat. This has been happening to me since Destiny 2 was released.

I never cared about having my mic on or writing in chat (mostly because I play on Xbox). But when I started playing Destiny 2—and now Marathon—I realized communication with teammates is really important.

So I just submitted a ticket to Bungie to correct my information and ensure my age is accurate(I'm 27 now), which Bungie has already done.

Despite that, I still can’t enable voice chat or text chat. I thought updating the age on my account would be enough. In Marathon, the page I’m told to visit to learn more about these errors doesn’t say much and doesn’t help at all(bungie.net/permissions.).

It’s frustrating to know this problem has been around for years and the cause still hasn’t been identified, and it’s frustrating not being able to fully interact with other players. 

Lastly, I also checked the communication permissions on my Xbox account, and I don’t see any issues there.

I hope Bungie takes action and provides an answer that many of us have been waiting for for quite some time. I’ll keep an eye out for replies or comments from other players who are also experiencing this issue and would like to add anything else.
