Exploit with borrowed items

Playing on PC.
Seems to be an exploit with borrowed items. I looted a non compromised BR-33 and Protector V2 from an enemy runner after their entire squad died, only for them to disappear from my inventory after extracting. They somehow kept the borrowed tag even after I picked it up. I unfortunately didn't get video footage but will keep my eye out for more of this. If people can just swap loadouts on spawn and get to keep their items on death that's a little wild.
