Introducing: Sekiguchi quest step "Scan your Shell in Southeastern Orientation" not updating

After injecting the Necrotic Sample on Outpost, I went to the scanner in Orientation and was shown the yellow objective marker but standing in the scanner did not update the quest or appear to do anything at all. I went a few times and the first couple showed a black screen at the back of the scanner, then the screen turned on for the last couple of trips but never appeared to scan me. I stood still inside the scanner multiple times for several seconds.

Repro unknown, I was fully dead inbetween injection and scan though so that may be part of the issue. The quest never indicated that was a problem, and continued to show me the objective marker for the scanner after being rezed from bag form.

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue on Playstation. I've tried three times now and when I stand and wait in the scanner, nothing happens. This glitch is really putting me off the game.
Do you have any updates? Were you ever able to complete this mission?
I'm experiencing the same problem in multiple games and attempts. Also a real pain because of how hard this map can be and how time consuming it is and to not be able to accomplish this. Needs to be fixed ASAP.
