Does the NVIDIA App feature "Smooth Motion" lead to a ban? / Performance Feedback

Hello Bungie Support Team,

I am reaching out today with an important question regarding the use of third-party software.

Despite having a very high-end hardware setup, I am currently experiencing significant performance issues in Marathon. The game simply does not run smoothly enough on its own. To achieve stable and high framerates, I have been using the "Smooth Motion" feature via the official NVIDIA App.

However, I recently read on the Marathon Discord that a player was allegedly banned for using this exact NVIDIA feature. Since I absolutely do not want to risk my account, I would appreciate an official statement from you:

Does the anti-cheat system flag the use of the NVIDIA "Smooth Motion" feature as unauthorized software, and can its use result in a ban?

If using this feature is indeed prohibited or carries the risk of a ban, I strongly urge you to pass this feedback along to the development team: The base performance of the game urgently needs to be optimized. Without "Smooth Motion", the game is unfortunately barely playable for me right now.

Because I don't want to take any risks, I will hold off on playing Marathon until I receive a clear answer from you, or until the performance is improved through patches.
