Rubber Banding into crash

On Steam, have had multiple instances where I continue to rubber band. connection is fine and speed test shows its plenty fast enough. Game will rubber band and then crash. upon trying to boot the game back up to recover the run (very thankful for that feature btw), the game boots up very slow and audio is distorted. closing the game down fixes it. I am going to un-install and re-install and see if that helps.
