Game fails to launch / Crashes after BattlEye processing (Steam)
When I attempt to launch the game, the BattlEye window appears and processes normally. However, the game itself never opens. Steam briefly shows the game as running, but it quickly reverts back to the green "Play" button. No error messages are displayed. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience. I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, pre-downloaded the files, and waited until the exact minute of launch to play. Instead of enjoying the game, I have spent the last hour and a half troubleshooting this issue with zero success. Complete inability to even open the game... I am on the verge of simply requesting a refund if a solution isn't provided soon and forget it like a nightmare

I'm about to refund for the exact same issue. It happened the entire server slam too.
Have the same issue, my PC is pretty decent for every other games, running them without any issues. But marathon simply won't launch.

Can the dev support atleast told us wats going on? We spend around 50 bucks for what?
Same issue, except my steam will keep the game "running." It even says I have 45 minutes of playtime. I've researched reddit and other sites for fixes and all the suggestions didn't work.
same problem here. list of things i've tried (hasn't worked):
- verified integrity of game files
- ran game as admin
- clear steam cache
- disabled overlays (discord and nvidia)
- opened in windowed screen
- disabled vanguard
- updated drivers (and everything else)
- scrub and reinstall marathon
- scrub and reinstall steam
- don't have focusrite
- not sure where AVX is in my bios. (my pc is asus rog gr8 ii)
I also have this issue. When I press play on Steam, Battleye starts and says its launching the game, but Marathon will start as a background process go for a few seconds that quit. I have tried all the advice trying to get the game to actually play listed in this thread and elsewhere.
I also have this issue. When I press play on Steam, Marathon starts, I load into a game and the the game drops me due to Battleye. When I load back In it says I am eliminated, losing all my stuff. Has happened three times in a row. Its time I requested my refund.
Same here. Done everything HAYWIRE reported. Issue still existing. Nothing in the windows logs.
Having played Destiny over years without issues. Such total failure is very disappointing.
New patch arrived today, but i still unable to launch the game... Bungie is the worst company ever.
