In game chat issues

Voice chat has not been working for me since I have started playing.
I can tell that the game is picking up my mic due to the indicator, and push to talk is working fine. Players are responding to what I am saying both with text chat and their actions in game.
I have not been able to hear other players. I am getting audio clearly from music and the sound effects but just no voices. I can tell others are trying to respond to me because of the indicators on screen.
I have a headset plugged in through aux cable directly to my PC, and a Shure SM7B plugged in through xlr.
Settings in the game match the audio settings on windows and this set up works for every other game that I play that has voice chat as well.
