Just coming back in to say I had to reset my router/modem a few times to finally start playing with no problem, im on xbox so no other fixes but that helped
Full reset of both wifi router and modem. At one point I did clear my alternate MAC address ass well so maybe that also helped. It took maybe 3 separate tries but I think I may have just been having isp problems at the time.
