Cannot open text chat -- stuck on 'Close Text Chat'

  • Description of Issue - After opening the text chat at the start of the match and sending a message the text chat sometimes does not reopen. Upon exfiling from the run the game gets stuck and doesn't let me progress to the run summary because it is stuck saying 'Close Text Chat' with no way to close it.
  • Repro steps - Not sure, I had the issue occur during a few of the alpha tests as well. It's very intermittent and usually happens at the start of a run then lasts till the game is restarted.

If you experience this again, then please see if you can ascertain what actions appeared to reproduce this issue. In addition, please consider recording a short video of what you experience.

    Vouch, opened text chat right as I was exfiling. I was unable to interact with the UI stuck with 'Close Text Chat' at bottom of screen and no inputs would be taken. Had to restart the game

    It happened again to me. I was typing in text chat through the entire run then right before we exfiled I sent 'gg' and tried to open the text chat window again and was unable to. Upon reaching the match summary i was unable to progress and had to restart the game.

    • Rough Date and Time of issue - Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 around 21:40
    • Repro steps - This happened twice while opening text chat to talk to the team while I was exfilling. After exfilling with the team, "Close Text Chat" at the bottom left appears. It does not go away, therefore you cannot proceed except by having to hard reset.

      I was able to 'text chat' with the team throughout the both games, but near the end and exfilling, it does not work.

    same issue here, stuck on end of mission screen, only input available is "close text chat" but no input is recorded.  Can still reach esc menu, can click through items, but only mail, settings, and lux menus work.

    This has happened to me as well, I was spectating another crew member and was repeatedly opening and closing the text chat. Now I'm stuck on the run summary and it seems the only way to continue is to restart the game.
