Error Code: NIGHTINGALE

If this is the first time you've received this error, please try that activity again and resume what you were doing before the error occurred. If you encounter the issue a second time, please exit Marathon and relaunch the game.

 

Console Players

If the error persists, you may need to clear your console's cache. To do this, follow these instructions:
  1.  
    1. Exit Marathon and shut down your console.
    2. Once your console is fully shut down, unplug the power supply from the console for at least 5 minutes.
    3. Plug in and turn on your gaming console and launch Marathon.
    4. Attempt to reconnect and play Marathon.
If you are seeing this error message after exhausting all troubleshooting resources, please delete then re-install Marathon on your console. 
 
If re-installation and clearing your cache does not improve your experience, it may be due to damaged or malfunctioning hardware. Check to see if other games work properly, or contact Microsoft/Sony Customer Support for further information.

PC Players

Steam
You may want to clear the download cache in the Steam launcher to see if that may help with your issue. Another solution is to verify the integrity of game files.

Additional Troubleshooting

If the above troubleshooting steps have not resolved your issue, in rare cases NIGHTINGALE can be caused by a network issue with DNS or firewall. Try disabling any third-party DNS services you are using. You may also be able to clear this error by running "ipconfig /flushdns" from a command prompt.

If you have exhausted all troubleshooting resources, please delete and then re-install Marathon on your device. If re-installation does not improve your experience, it may be due to damaged or malfunctioning hardware and you may want to check to see if other games work properly.
