The following is the current list of Known Issues players may experience when playing in our Closed Alpha Test.

Disclaimer

This is not a complete list of all known issues, but a targeted list of specific issues and their possible workaround solutions.

Info

The Marathon Closed Alpha Playtest is invite only. Given the limited number of invites available, players may experience the Oregano error code when playing during non-peak hours in North America. We suggestion playing between the hours of 2PM - 10PM PT to speed up matchmaking times and ensure full servers.

Weapons & Equipment

  • Activating Void's "Active Camo" ability during a consumable usage animation is happening will prevent the player from using their weapon.
        • Solution: Swapping weapons or to a knife will allow the Aim and Fire actions again.
  • Interrupting a consumable animation by opening a door prevents the player from shooting their weapon.
        • Sprinting, swapping weapons, or swapping to knife will allow the Aim and Fire actions again.
  • Chem grenade (and potentially others) can hit a scenario where the player cannot use them.
        • Drop the grenade (via UI) and pick the grenade back up to equip and it should be usable again.

Looting

  • Players will be preventing from interacting with loot drops that fall into the water at Algae Ponds.

Incursion Event

  • Initial reinforcement wave will fail to spawn and make the Relay B/Ravine incursion incompletable.
  • Some incursion completion messages might be missing the location name.

Run Completion

  • Players will receive the error code "Anteater" if they sit idle for too long in a run complete screen.
        • Solution: Players should not sit idle for long periods of time.

Revive

  • After a player receives a cold reboot/revive, supply drop creates may be invisible.
        • Solution: Players should still be able to interact with the supply drop containers and may eventually pop in/appear in world.

Sponsored Kit

  • Sponsored Kits appear as "No Gear" on the deploy screen but should load into the run just fine.
  • Players will experience error code "Monkey" if they have a full vault and sponsored kit in their loadout.
        • Solution: Deleting extra items in their back if vault is full should resolve this error from occurring.
  • If a player crashes or failed to reconnect, then they will not receive a sponsored kit.

        • Solution: The exfil functionality should not be impacted. There is a slight green outline around the top of the Incursion icon as a visual indicator.
  • Players can get stuck underneath a building around the "Hauler" area.
        • Solution: No solution or workaround after hitting this. Players should avoid trying to crawl into tight spaces under buildings on Perimeter.

New User Experience

  • Players who have not completed Perimeter Training will experience issues in matchmaking while in a crew.
        • Solution: Players who are unable to progress beyond runner level 1 should leave their crew and complete Perimeter Training solo. Once you have completed Perimeter Training, runner level should progress as normal

  • Game will crash when enabling FSR on AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU.
        • Solution: Users will need to disable FSR in CAVR:
          <cvar name="anti_aliasing_mode" value="0" />

        • Solution: Press the Esc key instead.

  • Players will sometimes hear dialogue repeated twice.
  • Traxus contract will show "contract01.obj03" as an objective instead of "Kill 2 Runners in Marsh."
        • Objective is "Kill 2 Runners in Marsh."
  • Any player that completes a contract will play the contract complete sound for all players in the crew.
  • Interacting with NuCal PCs doesn't consistently count towards Contracts progress.
        • Will need to interact with the NuCal PC a second time for it to count towards Contract progress. Potentially related to latency.
