Voice chat mic not transmitting to teammates - G733 / locked volume mixer channel
Platform: PC (Steam)
OS: Windows 11
Headset: Logitech G733 Gaming Headset (USB dongle via G Hub)
Issue: Teammates cannot hear me in voice chat. I can hear them fine.
My mic works correctly in all other applications and passes the
Windows mic test.
Steps already tried:
- Disabled Blue VO!CE in G Hub
- Set G733 as default input/output in Windows
- Disabled exclusive mode on mic device
- Verified game files on Steam
- Confirmed correct devices selected in-game (Social settings)
- Mic input volume confirmed active in Windows Sound settings
Root cause appears to be: In the Windows Volume Mixer, Marathon
creates two audio channels. The top channel (likely voice chat)
is locked at volume 1 and the slider cannot be adjusted. This
appears to be a known bug based on community reports.
