PvP Sound and Detection feedback

This is not a bug report, just the best place I have found so far to give Bungie gameplay feedback. I find the PvP detection mechanics frustrating. Being ambushed when you have close to no warning, despite caution, takes a lot of fun out of the game. It feels like there is always a high fixed percentage chance you will get ambushed, lose you gear, while there is nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to mitigate this, but the percentage is high enough to introduce much frustration and feelings of helplessness. Currently it feels like the sound detection PvP is so limited, it defeats the purpose of rewarding careful players when use sound to play smart. I like to compare this game to Arc Raiders' way of PvP detection. I think Arc Raiders lowers the percentage of "helpless ambush" greatly by being third person, louder other player movement sounds, differentiating between enemy player/friendly player/PvE enemy movement sounds more, and not having ambient sounds block out PvP sound detection. I understand there will always be a certain percentage of "helpless ambush" situations in games like this. But lowering its percentage in ways described above can lower player frustrations of helplessness and make the gameplay more fun.
