Requesting clarification on BattlEye

While it is well known that the official stance is that Linux is not supported, there has been speculation on whether the BattlEye on Proton integration is enabled or not, with no clear answer from Bungie at the time of writing. Some clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
