I have had the same gamertag for years. It is what all my friends call me by. It’s not offensive so why can’t I name my character something besides redacted. The gamertag is CornyQorny

    If you are unable to change your name, it would be caused by one of these scenarios:

     

    • You have no name changes remaining.
    • You're attempting to change to a name that's not allowed by the system, or attempting to go back to a name that was previously actioned.

     

    To that point, we recommend trying another, slightly different name to see if this allows you to enact a name change. If you're still unable to do so despite trying many different names, then it's likely you've used up your name changes already.For more information, we recommend checking out our Name Guide.
