The knife skin is being removed.
I equip the skin for my knife, I get killed during the match, and when I start a new one the knife skin is gone. I have to go back into the customization menu and equip it again.

Thanks for the report.
This is a known issue and the dev team is investigating.
My knife skin also reverts to the original one every time I die. Please, it looks so cool.
